By Signal Staff They're going be partying again on Town Center Drive in Valencia tonight, and every Friday night after that for quite awhile. This will be the 11th year that the Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series will feature regional, national and international jazz and blues recording artists in a street party setting, while offering interactive activities for adults and children. This year's series, set to begin tonight, will run for 12 weeks through Aug. 28. Hours for the concerts will be 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and they will be held on Town Center Drive, adjacent to the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Keyes Lexus of Valencia returns as the title sponsor of the series, along with returning series sponsors including the City of Santa Clarita, SCV Chamber of Commerce, The Signal, The Magazine of Santa Clarita/Elite Magazine, Inside SCV Magazine and KHTS Radio. The Lexus of Valencia Jazz & Blues Concert Series is produced by Summit West - a local public relations and marketing firm. "We're grateful for all of our sponsors, especially Lexus, for their support during these trying economic times. Without them we wouldn't be able bring back one of the most highly anticipated summer concert series," said Barbara Myler, president of the firm and owner/producer of the concert series. The line-up for the first six Friday nights includes: * June 12 - The Jeff Jensen Band * June 19 - Lightnin' Willie & the Poorboys * June 26 - Gino Matteo * July 3 - Delgado Brothers * July 10 - Flat Top Tom & His Jump Cats * July 17 - Doña Oxford "We're excited to host a CD release party tonight for The Jeff Jensen Band. Jeff sets the standard for one of the most thrilling lineups in the history of this event," Myler said. A new feature this year is the opportunity, for a reasonable fee, to reserve a table in the street. "Reserving a table ahead of time for your friends, family or clients allows you to arrive at your convenience and be sure your table is waiting for you," Myler said. Table reservations can be made by calling (661) 290-2911. "In addition to the extraordinary music offered by some of the top jazz and blues recording artist in the world, the concert series will bring a variety of interactive programing for the entire family, including a children's area sponsored by the Paseo Club," said Myler. There will be a variety of food and beverages, including wine and beer for the adults. Continuing the tradition of supporting SCV's local charities, a portion of the weekly sales from the beverage bar, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, will be donated to a local non-profit organization. In the past 10 years more than 30 different charitable organizations have benefited from this program. No pets or outside food or beverages are allowed. Admission is free. For more information, sponsorship opportunities or table reservations, call Barbara Myler at (661) 290-2911.
