The passing of Wayne King, known to many as Tiny, owner of the submarine shop on Camp Plenty in Canyon Country, is so saddening.

I am a longtime Canyon Country resident who attended Sierra Vista Junior High in 1977-1978.

Hanging out at Tiny's was the place to be. I was the girl with the loudest voice and therefore Tiny nicknamed me "Mouth."

I am now 44 and when I would see Tiny, he still referred to me as Mouth. I am here to say that Tiny's is a part of our family history.

Playing tennis at Sierra Vista and walking over to Tiny's for lunch is a part of my family's regular activities even now.

I have e-mailed all the friends from this area, and let me say his passing will be felt all over the United States.

I will miss his smile and hearing him say, "Hey, Mouth, how are ya?"

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with his wonderful family. They should know Tiny's will forever be a part of Canyon Country history.
