The Junior Golf Academy and Titleist Performance Institute debuted June 19 at TPC Valencia.
Bradder said he was approached by TPC Valencia head golf professional Mike Messner about a lack of attention being paid to junior golfers in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Bradder, who said he has past experience with organizing golf tournaments and has coached the sport at Trinity Classical Academy in Santa Clarita, joined with TPC to create the program.
“You could probably say that the object of forming the company is to provide a full array of services to the golf community,” Bradder said.
The Junior Golf Academy offers monthly programs that consist of eight lessons.
There are five levels of training, starting with a level one for beginners that starts with fundamentals and etiquette and ends with level five, which puts junior golfers out on the course and learning a mental approach.
The company is also using technology, such as video cameras and sensors Bradder said, to eliminate flaws in swings.
The training is for golfers ages 8 to 18.
Bradder said 24 young golfers showed up to the first session.
He said he also plans on expanding the number of junior golf events in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The American Junior Golf Association has put on a yearly event in the summer at Robinson Ranch and will continue to do so with the West Junior Open July 6-9.
