Stephens case pushed back

The Wednesday pre-trial conference of a 20-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing and running over a Canyon Country man with his car and stabbing and hitting with his car a second man was postponed to later this year, officials said.

Michael Dean Stephens, 20, is scheduled to appear at the San Fernando courthouse Dec. 21, said Sandi Gibbons, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Stephens faces charges for murder and attempted premeditated murder for the November 2007 incident in Stevenson Ranch, according to court files.
