Westfield Valencia Town Center is moving ahead with its Shops at the Patios expansion, with a number of stores slated to open Nov. 18.

Under construction for about a year, the Patios will add about 234,000 square-feet of retail space and 40 storefronts.

Opening Nov. 18 are: BCBG Max Azria, Brighton Collectibles, En Ciel Jewelry, Parc 81, Tonalita, Tous and Yankee Candle.

A Lazy Dog Cafe is set to open later this month, according to a Westfield news release. The Valencia location will be the fifth for the chain, started by Chris Simms, son of Mimi's Cafe founder Tom Simms.

December openings are planned for an Aveda Salon, a Dink's Deli and Menchies frozen yogurt.

While the shops will open as soon as next week, mall spokeswoman Theone Miller said there is no immediate grand opening planned. Rather, a grand opening event will be held sometime in 2010, she said.

With a number of spaces at the Patios yet to be filled, Westfield officials have said they are planning a "multi-phase" opening throughout the next year.

Businesses with confirmed openings in 2010 include Bare Escentuals, Children's Place, Lucky Brand Jeans, Roman Holiday Wine Bar, Sephora, Skechers, Steve Madden, Teavana, True Religion, Velvet Cupcake and Wokcano, according to the Westfield statement.

Between Nov. 19 and Dec. 20, the mall will host live entertainment and movie screenings at the Patios, including a wine, chocolate and cheese festival on Nov. 21, benefiting the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.
