It's starting to look a lot like Christmas at three uniquely decorated homes in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Homeowners Sally Coss of Valencia, Shelly and G. Marshall Hann of Westridge and Sue and Byron McMichael of Stevenson Ranch will open their doors to the public 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday, as part of the 29th Annual Holiday Home Tour.

The event is a long standing SCV tradition hosted each year by Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital's Home Tour Guild.

The Home Tour, which includes a VIP gala, public tour and boutique, has raised more than $700,000 for women's services at Newhall Memorial. This year, funds raised will benefit the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit, scheduled to open in 2011.

Tickets are available for $25 advance purchase at various SCV retail outlets and the hospital's gift shop, or $30 if purchased at the boutique or any of the three homes. There is a 12-and-older age requirement and attendees are asked to wear flat shoes during the tour.

At the Valencia estate of Sally Coss, it's "A Traditional Christmas," decorated by the homeowner from a 40-year collection of family heirlooms. This is Coss' second time on the tour - she first shared her home in 1993.

Vintage tea sets are featured throughout, as is Coss' love of bunnies, which can be found burrowing into secret corners and displayed in trees. There is also a Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and a Santa-hat capped bear.

Downstairs, the dining room is set with Christmas Spode and antique cranberry glass. Guests end the tour in a festive potter's shed, overlooking the 13th hole of a nearby golf course.

"I decorate a lot every year. It's fun to share it with the community," Coss said.

Themed "Viva Las Vegas," the Hann's home was styled for the holidays by Jeanna Crawford and is reflective of the family's dramatic style and penchant for fun with plenty of holiday glitz and glam that's purely Las Vegas.

The master bedroom features an opulent custom-made leather bed inspired by the Wynn Hotel, graphic black and white art deco furnishings, and a gold "upside-down" Christmas tree.

The holiday décor is similarly striking in the formal living room, where "The Showgirl" tree holds center court with an exciting combination of fuchsia, plum and peacock tones.

It's the Hann's first Christmas in Westridge.

"We love entertaining and sharing our home, especially for an event that benefits the community and the hospital. After waiting to build my dream house for 18 years, I finally have it and want to share it with everyone," Shelley Hann said.

"An Artist's Holiday" is apt for the McMichael home. Sue McMichael, who acted as her own decorator, is an artist, with her work on display throughout, from whimsical painted Santa Clauses to a Route 66-themed game room with handcrafted postcards. In the living room, Sue McMichael's paintings adorn a Christmas tree and her stylish, ribbon-wrapped pillows are strewn throughout the home.

"I think Christmas is such a personal thing. Our home really reflects who I am. I've always decorated a lot for the holidays and really try to include my artwork," she said.

The Home Tour is preceded by the Home Tour Gala on Friday, at the Tournament Player's Club in Valencia. The Gala offers a sneak peek at the decorated homes, and a dinner buffet.

The public is also invited to attend the Holiday Home Tour Boutique, to be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Newhall. The boutique offers unique, handcrafted items, as well as refreshments.
