Laurie Morgan, a local artist recognized for her unique landscape portraits, is exhibiting her artwork in a one-woman show at the Canyon Theater Guild from now until Dec. 19. 

She toured the U.S. singing country and rock for 10 years and is now taking a sabbatical from the road to raise her three sons right here in Newhall. 

Morgan will attend a reception on Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wine, good food and music will be provided to create the perfect "thoughtful" atmosphere.
