Santa Clarita Valley residents have until February to share their opinions about the One Valley, One Vision plan with city and county officials.
Los Angeles County and the city of Santa Clarita developed One Valley, One Vision to guide the future of planning in the Santa Clarita Valley. Portions of the plan have come under fire after it predicted a population explosion, with 450,000 people calling the SCV home in about 20 years.
Since fall 2008, several public meetings have been held to allow the public to weigh in on the plan. The most recent One Valley, One Vision meeting in the Santa Clarita Valley was held in early October.
SCV residents have until Feb. 1 to review the draft environmental impact report on the One Valley, One Vision plan.
The county Regional Planning Commission met in its downtown headquarters Nov. 23 to discuss two amendments to the plan.
The next public hearing before the Regional Planning Commission is set for 9 a.m. on Feb. 24, 2010, at the Hall of Records, 320 W. Temple St. in Los Angeles.
