A man and a woman suspected are due in court in Santa Clarita today after allegedly snatching a purse and leading deputies on a search in Canyon Country on Sunday, officials said.
Deputies arrested Christopher Tabor, 22, of Stevenson Ranch, and Amanda Hall, 19, of Canyon Country on suspicion of robbery and acting as an accessory to a robbery, sheriff's officials said.
About 11:10 a.m. on Sunday, Tabor allegedly wrestled a purse away from a woman walking toward an Albertsons grocery store near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Road, said Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Cortland Myers.
Tabor and Hall then allegedly sped away in a pick-up truck and fled to an apartment complex near the intersection of Fanchon Lane and Rainbow Glen Drive, Myers said.
By a little past noon, deputies surrounded the area, arrested the suspects and recovered the stolen purse, Myers said.
