Starting today, the Saugus Union School District will host informational meetings for parents interested in enrolling their children at West Creek Academy in the fall.

The first meeting is at 9 a.m. today at Skyblue Mesa Elementary School, 28040 Hardesty Avenue. There will be another meeting at 5 p.m. tonight at Bridgeport Elementary School, 23670 Newhall Ranch Road. The final informational meeting will be at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16 at Rosedell Elementary School, 27853 Urbandale Avenue.

Saugus Union plans to open the new state-of-the-art elementary school with an innovative curriculum that focuses on performing arts, instrumental music and foreign languages. School officials hope to open the K-6 school, located in the West Creek and West Hills neighborhoods, with about 500 students. The open enrollment school will be open to all families in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Along with the meetings, parents can tour West Creek Academy at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on March 3.
