Income tax help for seniors IRS/AARP trained volunteers will be available to help seniors complete and file their income taxes, free, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons starting Feb. 9 through April 14, SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market St., Newhall. Participants need to bring a picture ID, copy of Social Security card, and last year’s tax return to appointment. March 24 — Digestive Health and Reducing Chances for Colorectal Cancer with Dr. Amy Goff. March 31 — Oral Health and Our Wellbeing with mobile dental hygienist Donna Lombardi. Educational & Technical Training Archaeology and Anthropology: Wednesday, 9:30-11:10 a.m. with Fred Rice of USC and Cal State Northridge. Computer Training (Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced in Windows and Mac): Call the Center for Information. Computer Training for the Visually Impaired: Monday, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Friday, 12-2 p.m. Ham Radio: Tuesday, 1-2 p.m.
Food for the Soul Put smiles on the faces and warm the hearts of homebound seniors when you become a Home-Delivered Meal driver. Become a part of our volunteer team to ensure that no senior goes without a meal. Help is desperately needed for as little as 2 1/2 hours one day a week or even one day a month (Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.). Vehicles provided. Contact the SCV Senior Center: 259-9444.
