A Salt Creek Grille specialty, fresh-baked to order, finished table-side with a warm chocolate Ganache. It takes about 25 minutes to prepare, but it is well worth it. It is suggested you order this dessert prior to your meal so that it is ready enjoy when you have finished your entrée. You might also want to try the Traditional New York Cheesecake ($9.95), with hints of lemon and a buttery graham crust, oven roasted strawberries and crunchy shards of almond praline.

The White Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip and Butterscotch Scones come highly recommended. Most of the delicious scones at The Tea Gardens are $1.49, while specialty scones, such as the Butterscotch, are $1.89. The Tea Gardens, in the IHOP center off Bouquet Canyon Road, offers different desserts every day. Cookies, petits fours, cupcakes, mini cheesecakes, brownies and assorted pastries are available from $1.50 to $3 each. The quaint shop is decorated with all manner of tea paraphernalia and sells loose leaf tea, too.

Escape's own Michele Buttelman is ga-ga for T-Bo's S'more ($6.99) and Alabama Carrot Cake ($5.99). The former is a graham cracker, chocolate brownie and marshmallow, all skillet-baked and served with a drizzle of chocolate Ganache. The latter is carrot cake made the Old South way, with a generous frosting of cream cheese and pecan icing.

Elephant Bar offers several enticing desserts, but the Fudge, Fudge Walnut Brownie ($2.95 mini Walnut Brownie) is the king. It is a double stack of fresh baked walnut brownie, four scoops of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, walnuts, caramel and chocolate syrup, and a cherry - all stacked in a huge pyramid! You may want to share.

Cappuccino Mousse ($9.50)
At least two of our Escape staffers can personally recommend the Cappuccino Mousse at the Oaks Grille. Inside a cup is chocolate mousse, and at our sampling this was covered with whipped cream and dusted with cocoa. This was accompanied by a white chocolate stick, mixed berries and fruit drizzle. You can also go with the Éclair Cake ($9.50).

Those same two Escape staffers can highly recommend both the Homemade Apple Cobbler and the Cinnamon and Sugar Pizza at Lazy Dog.
