The city of Santa Clarita will host an open house event celebrating its new Permit Center at the first floor of city hall on Tuesday, March 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Created as part of the city's 21-Point Business Plan for Progress, the center offers a centralized location for residents and local business to jump-start their building process.

The city's new Permit Center includes City Planning, Building & Safety, Traffic and Development staff, as well as members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, in one convenient location to assist customers.

By consolidating staff and resources, the city's new Permit Center saves residents' and businesses' time, while dramatically improving communication between city departments.
