Healthy Cooking & Eating on a Budget Registered dietitian Stephanie Correnti will conduct a free six-week cooking demonstration and lecture, preparing foods that are high in nutritional value, low in fat, sugar, and salt and taste great. Income Tax Help for Seniors IRS/AARP trained volunteers will be available to help seniors complete and file their income taxes, free, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons starting Feb. 9 through April 14. Participants need to bring a picture ID, copy of Social Security card, and last year’s tax return to appointment. We’re the new and improved “middle age” 50-plus active adults. The program encompasses functional fitness – moves are designed to simulate ADLs (activities of daily living), and sports moves like golf, tennis, and skiing. We do cardiovascular training, muscle and bone building, core stabilization, and spatial awareness for balance – all within one hour. Food for the Soul Put smiles on the faces and warm the hearts of homebound seniors when you become a home-delivered meal driver. Become a part of our volunteer team to ensure that no senior goes without a meal. Help is desperately needed for as little as two and one-half hours one day a week or even one day a month (Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.). Vehicles provided.
