Cheryl Laymon, executive director of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, was recently installed as the new Exalted Ruler of Santa Clarita Elks Lodge #2379 in Canyon Country.

Newly installed officers also included Canyon Country resident Richard Casauban, lecturing knight; Canyon Country resident Tom Schmidt, leading knight; Sylmar resident Julie Whitman, loyal knight; Friendly Valley resident Donna DiMarco, esquire; Saugus resident Donnell Jones, chaplain; Reseda resident Fred Sandeen, tiler; Canyon Country resident Ray Broussard, secretary; Canyon Country resident Simone Swanson, treasurer; Newhall resident Richard Roelofs, organist; and Canyon Country resident David Boardman, inner guard.

Lodge Advisor, past District Deputy and past Exalted Ruler Skip Henke presided over the program as the chairman of the evening.

Gail Dewhurst, the first female Exalted Ruler of the Santa Clarita Elks chapter served as the installing officer for Laymon.
