Ryan Crumpler is the new military legislative assistant, while Robert McAlister takes on the role of new media coordinator.
Crumpler has worked as a congressional staffer for five years, most recently for the office of Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas. Crumpler managed issues in the House Armed Services Committee and has worked on appropriations issues and served as the liaison to military installations.
Crumpler graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s in political science and business management.
“I am excited about the new dynamic in my Washington, D.C. office with the addition of our two newest team members,” McKeon said in a statement. “With the numerous military instillations in the 25th Congressional District of California, the military legislative role is a critical one, and Ryan brings strong practical experience to the position.”
Robert McAlister will be heading up McKeon’s Internet operations and Web outreach as the coordinator of new media, a new position added to McKeon’s office. McAlister served as new media coordinator on the campaign for Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La., in 2007. McAlister has a bachelor’s in mass communication from Louisiana State University.
“I am particularly energized about the new media coordinator role I have added to the office team,” McKeon said. “With Robert’s help and experience, I hope to harness the best technology available to communicate better with my constituents through the Internet and other new ways.”
