The ceremony will be held at the main entrance to the baseball complex at 23437 Valencia Boulevard, Valencia 91355, off Valencia Boulevard at Auto Center Court, between the BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships.
Terry Tull was a very active coach and helper/friend of the Hart Pony Baseball complex for many years in the '70s, '80s and '90s. He help construct and installed most of the field lighting during that period. He was instrumental in the construction of many of the grandstands and other projects.
Besides his volunteer work at the field, Terry was a long-time coach in the boys baseball program (he is survived by four sons, Jason, Matt, Kirk and Clint). His dedication to the kids learning the game was his greatest concern. He always wanted the kids to learn the mechanics, the rules and the ethics of fair, honest baseball.
Terry really knew baseball. He was a letterman baseball player at Hueneme High School (graduated in 1964).
He coached his four sons and numerous other boys in both baseball and soccer. His sons went on to play baseball and soccer for Saugus High School. He is also survived by his wife Sue.
In 1988 Terry coached the hometown Mustang baseball team to the Pony Baseball World Series Championship.
The Santa Clarita Oaks Conservancy donated the native Valley Oak. "Coach" Tull's friends have provided a commemorative plaque.
Terry Tull is fondly remembered and honored by all the those kids and adults whose lives he touched.
