The city's Manufactured Home Rental Adjustment Panel approved a space rent increase for Parklane Mobile Estates in Canyon Country and gave the final approval to a pair of resolutions for rent hikes at two other Canyon Country mobile home parks.

Panel member Mary Trimmel dissented in the 3-1 vote Wednesday, and panel member Robert White recused himself from the vote because he is the Parklane resident representative, according to panel secretary Terasa Sullivan.

Although the vote requires a final resolution, Wednesday's decision allows for a 5.7 percent rent hike effective Jan. 1.

A second item involving Parklane resident claims that the park, managed by Pacific Mobile Management/Cal-Am Properties Inc., offered a reduction in services was continued to a tentative date in February, Sullivan said.

Resolutions for space rent increases at Cordova Estates Mobile Home Park and Greenbrier Estates Mobile Home Park passed 4-0 with panel member Nancy Must recusing herself from both votes.
