Three burglars kicked down yet another door in Fair Oaks Ranch on Monday, but they escaped sheriff's deputies.

The break-in marks the neighborhood's third in five days, with five arrests last week alone.

The action began about 4:20 p.m., when deputies received a report that three men had been dropped off from a tan SUV in the neighborhood and kicked in a door in the 21000 block of Brown Oaks Way.

Sheriff's deputies cordoned off the area and then scoured it, detaining and releasing one male suspect, said sheriff's Lt. Tom Bryski.

Detectives are still investigating the door-kick burglary.

A rash of burglaries has rocked the area since March. In several of the break-ins, burglars kicked in front doors and ransacked the house. If residents were home, they fled.

Authorities said some of the more active burglars who have hit houses in Fair Oaks Ranch and parts of Castaic may have used a white Mercedes-Benz SUV.

During Friday's Fair Oaks Ranch caper, deputies nabbed a trio of suspects on Wren Drive after a vigilant neighbor spotted the three acting suspiciously and called police.

Daniel Arizmendi, 19, of Canyon Country and Ernesto Flores, 20, of Panorama City were being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Deputies also arrested a 16-year-old from Panorama City.

On Thursday, deputies arrested Amahd Jones, 19, of Palmdale and a 16-year-old on suspicion of a kick-in burglary in the 17000 block of Scott Lane.
