Sophie Johnson
Sophie Johnson, a sophomore in American University's School of International Service, majoring in International Studies, was named to the fall's 2008 Dean's List. Johnson is a resident of Castaic. To earn Dean's List at American University a student must obtain a 3.5 grade point average or better on their semester courses.
McKenzie Carpenter
Milliken University student McKenzie Carpenter of Valencia, was recently inducted into the Milliken chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi national honorary society during a ceremony held on campus April 25.
Carpenter is a Commercial Music major and graduate of William S. Hart Union High School.
Admission to the society is by invitation only, and requires nomination and approval by charter members. Phi Kappa Phi is open to eligible juniors, seniors and faculty.
Heather Jordan
Heather Leigh Jordan, a senior at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the winter team. Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark E. Jordan of Newhall.
Sean Kerr
Sean Michael Kerr, a freshman at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the winter team. Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael T. Kerr of Canyon Country.
