Picture Perfect Window Coverings held its first annual Art Contest on May 12. Art students from Artworks Studio and Picasso’s Playmates participated in the contest for a nominal entry fee. Picture Perfect donated half of the proceeds to the Circle of Hope, a nonprofit charity supporting women and men with breast cancer.
The contest theme was “The Beauty of California” and the categories for registration were first and second graders, third and fourth graders and fifth and sixth graders. The students were amazing with their interpretation of the theme. The Santa Clarita Artists’ Association selected a panel of judges to evaluate and select the winners. It was difficult to choose the winners as all of the entries were outstanding.
First and second grades:
First place: Sophia Kriegle, Picasso’s Playmates
Second place: Sean Parkis Picasso’s Playmates
Third and fourth grades:
First place: Meghan Dragaloski Artworks Studio
Second place: Chiaki Ma Picasso’s Playmates
Fifth and sixth grades:
First place: Maddy McGoldrick Artworks Studio
Second place: Josh Gilbert-Artworks Studio
Grand prize winner: Alyssa Hand Artworks Studio
