Santa Clarita Valley senior E.W. Waldeck needed a wheelchair ramp and he knew right where to turn. He availed himself of the Handyworker Services Department at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center.
Waldeck recently showed his thanks for the work completed at his home by having plaques made and presented to Handyworker Department Supervisor Frank Pascoe, handyworkers Bob Belendez and Francis Williams and Senior Center Executive Director Brad Berens.
The plaques of appreciation read: "Presented to SCV Senior Center and Frank Pascoe Bob Belendez Francis Williams For the installation of a wheelchair ramp for my use. E.W. ‘Wally' Waldeck 10/6/09."
The Handyworker Services Department is among the many services provided at the SCV Senior Center. The program provides free minor home repairs to owner- and renter-occupied houses, mobile homes, and condominiums where income-eligible participants reside. For information on the Handyworker Program, contact Frank Pascoe, (661) 259-9444, ext. 144, or Claudelisa Rodriguez, ext. 133.
