A 17-year-old boy was the victim of a strong-arm robbery early Tuesday morning at a Valencia gas station, sheriff's Lt. Tom Bryski said.

At approximately 12:19 a.m., the boy was filling up his vehicle at a Mobil station at Decoro Drive and McBean Parkway, when multiple suspects approached him and physically assaulted him before taking several of his personal items, Bryski said.

The victim suffered several minor injuries, including a cut lip, as a result of the attack.

Bryski added that the suspects, who are believed to be members of the Newhall 13 street gang, are still at large and no arrests have been made.

No further information was available about the assailants, and the Sheriff's Station's COBRA unit is investigating the attack.

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at (661) 255-1121.
