Disappointed by winners of recent council elections

Right now, I feel as though I have failed myself, my family, and my civic duty.

Roger Gitlin was correct in naming our worthless City Council members Frank Ferry, Laurene Weste, Marsha McLean and Laurie Ender as “no shows” at a rally that was to focus on two unfairly convicted and unfairly imprisoned border patrol agents, and an immigration problem that is draining our city, state and country of resources, not to mention badly needed dollars.

The fact that these council members did not show up is my fault. I saw the yard-cards, read the campaign slogans and actually believed that they would do what they said they would.

Integrity? Honesty? Fairness? Fight For Us? Make Things Better For Us? Change? Move Our City Forward? Not so much.

This is partly my fault. I was not there to ask questions about what they would do about this problem. Too many hours at work, too many hours on the road, and a family to take care of.

They were right. They counted on me to just punch the card, and I did. I failed. I will not fail again.
