Great job, John Shaffery, in your column on Sept. 26!

This columnist hit the nail on the head when he clearly states, "Businesses are leaving California because of abusive, unwarranted and unnecessary litigation."

His article could not have been better timed. Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse will mark Lawsuit Abuse Awareness Week Oct. 6-10.

It's a time to shine the light on the unfair burden placed on every one of California's businesses, large and small, those entities that employ Californians and stimulate our economy.

California needs the jobs they create, the taxes they pay and the services they provide.

What can you do to protect your job and California's future? Press your current lawmaker to pass laws to protect our businesses from abusive lawsuits without merit.

Vote for candidates that support common sense legal reform.
