Richard "Dick" Lang, a member of one of the founding families of Agua Dulce, died unexpectedly Sunday in Valencia. He was 63.

Visitation is 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Eternal Valley Mortuary. The memorial service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Eternal Valley Mortuary, 23287 Sierra Highway in Newhall.

Lang was born on June 22, 1945 in Glendale, Calif. He graduated from Granada Hills High School, and entered the Air Force after graduation. He worked for KMA Farms and A.E. Schmidt Company as a general contractor.

Lang loved to fly, and owned an airplane. He was generous and kind, and is described as a farmer at heart, said his wife, Sandra Lang.

Richard is survived by his sister, Linda of Canyon Country; his brother Jimmy; his wife, Sandra; his sons, Joe and Chad; and grandchildren Devin and Madison.

The family requested donations be made to John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica.
