A traffic collision at the intersection of Wiley Canyon and Tournament roads in Valencia killed a motorcyclist this morning and flipped a Honda Civic on its side, according to a sheriff's statement.

Peter Neptune, 23 of Lancaster, was westbound on his 2003 Yamaha motorcycle when he struck a 2004 Honda Civic in the intersection of Wiley Canyon and Tournament roads at 8:49 a.m.

Dejah Morris, 25 of Newhall, was attempting a left turn from Wiley Canyon onto Tournament Road when Neptune's motorcycle struck her car, the sheriff's report said.

Neptune's motorcycle hit with enough force to flip the Honda onto the driver's side, according to the statement.

Los Angeles County firefighters treated Neptune at the scene and transported him to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, where he later died of his injuries, the statement said.

Dejah Morris was also taken to the hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries, according to the sheriff's report.
