The Hart High School Varsity Cheerleading team won first place in the Large Varsity Advanced division at the USA Spirit Nationals March 7-9, at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The teams had to qualify at a regional competition in order to compete. There were 256 high school teams in attendance. There were schools from Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Washington and New
Mexico.
Both Hart teams competed on Saturday and then qualified to return for the finals. Only the top 45 percent in each division go on to the finals. The JV team finished in third place in the Large JV Intermediate Division. They had won at two regional competitions earlier in the year.
The Varsity girls placed first in all six competitions that they competed in. They had an undefeated season.
