7-Eleven opens Bouquet Canyon location
7-Eleven will host a grand opening celebration for its newest location on Bouquet Canyon Road today from 1 to 6 p.m.

An official ribbon cutting for the Saugus 7-Eleven will take place at 2 p.m. The event will feature live entertainment, prizes and in-store promotions.

7-Eleven is located at 28088 Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus.

Cobblestone Cottage to host shoe drive
Cobblestone Cottage will host a benefit for Soles4Souls, Inc. the international footwear chain that delivers shoes to needy people around the world.

The shoe drive will run from May 16 to June 1.

Customers who take a pair of new or gently worn shoes to the Valencia store will receive a $25 savings on any regular priced pair of Brighton Footwear.

Cobblestone Cottage is located at 24335 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia.

Uomo Sport marks first year anniversary
Uomo Sport in Valencia, seller of men's golf clothing, shoes and accessories, will mark the first year anniversary of business in May.

To celebrate the anniversary, Uomo Sport will feature special store and online specials May 1 - 10, along with a drawing for customers.

Fight It 5K Race
to support breast cancer awareness
The Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund will be hosting the annual Fight It 5K race/walk on May 17 at Central Park in Saugus to raise funds for cancer patients age 21 to 40.
