Walk-in registration for the upcoming fall AYSO soccer season for Newhall, Valencia, Stevenson Ranch and surrounding areas is now over.

Parents may still register players online at www.ayso678.org until May 31, when registration officially closes.

AYSO Region 678 offers a wide variety of age-specific soccer programs, with recreational programs for children ages 4 to 7, and competitive programs for kids ages 8 to 18, with league play and playoffs plus all-stars and year-round tournament opportunities.

Every child who registers will be placed on a team and each child plays 75 percent of every game. Practices will begin in mid-August, with the season kicking off in early September and running through November. Games are played on Saturdays.

There are also many opportunities for parents to volunteer on the Region 678 board, with a range of time commitments, including helping at registration, refereeing, fund-raising, game-day monitoring and more.
