Steve and Julie Sturgeon of Santa Clarita are pleased to announce the engagement of their son Adam Patrick Sturgeon to Kristi Lorraine Carlson of Fontana.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Dave and Susy Carlson of Mentone, Calif. and Kathi and Lee Carani of Murphy, N.C.
She is the sister of Matthew Carlson of Mentone, Calif. and the granddaughter of Leon Carlson of Long Beach.
The bride-elect was born in Fountain Valley, Calif. and is a 2001 graduate of Fountain Valley High School.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from University of Redlands where she graduated in 2005. She earned a Masters from the University of Redlands in 2009.
She is employed as a teacher in Victorville, Calif.
The groom-elect is the brother of Nicole Sturgeon of Santa Clarita.
He is the grandson of Pat and Rae Sturgeon of Mission Hills and Maria Masciale of Newhall.
He is a 2002 graduate of Canyon High School in Canyon Country and a 2006 graduate of California State University, Long Beach.
The groom-elect is employed by the city of Long Beach.
The couple became engaged July 13, 2009, at sunset on the beach in Maui, Hawaii.
A July 10 wedding is being planned at Robinson’s Ranch Golf Club in Sand Canyon.
