I am fairly new to the Santa Clarita area and I live in Friendly Valley.
I am a dog walker by trade and I so enjoy watching the sunrises and sunsets over this gorgeous vast land.
People here take a lot of pride in their valley and I truly can appreciate that. It’s for that reason I am writing about the four huge tan water tanks up on the hill that overlook the valley.
They are so ugly. They just don’t go with the beauty of the land. They take so much away from the view.
So, why not make a “fun” raiser with an art competition from the middle schools and high schools and have the tanks painted to reflect the beauty of the hills and greenery around them? By the kids, even.
They could hold fundraisers for the paint, but I bet we could make it so much fun that maybe some companies would donate funds or supplies to have this accomplished.
I don’t know; just a thought from someone who loves this valley and all it offers.

You must be new here otherwise you would realize what a problem we have with graffiti...and that putting artwork up anywhere is like an invititation to those creeps to desecrate it, even more than just having a blank canvas, which also makes removing their hideous graffiti much easier.
