Johnson does not qualify for Olympics

Alysia Johnson could not get out of the quarterfinal round of the women's 800-meter, finishing last in her heat in 2 minutes, 6.43 seconds.

Running in the Team U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore. on Friday, Johnson was ninth out of nine runners in the third heat.

The fastest four to seven runners in each heat qualified for the next round. Hazel Clark (2:03.65) was the fastest 800 runner in Friday's quarterfinals.
