Six Flags Magic Mountain is transformed from a "theme park" to a haunted "scream park" for Fright Fest, presented by Snickers, weekends through Oct. 31.

The park offers terrifying haunted mazes, roaming zombies, frightening clowns and ghostly shows.

The park will add a "twisted" element to some of its monster coasters by turning off the lights and transforming the largest coaster, Colossus, to operate backward.

This year's Fright Fest features two new attractions; Willoughby Industries' Warehouse 13 maze and Pint-Fright-Fest-ivities, a Halloween-themed family game show in the Golden Bear Plaza.

Heckles and Twitch, an off-beat team of comedic clowns, will perform three times a night in Gotham City Blackout.

The park also gives Fright Fest fans a chance to win front-of-the-line access and season passes with its "Save a Cockroach ... Eat Another Creepy Crawler" contest at the Wheel of Fright.

For younger ghouls, goblins and monsters, Fright Fest offers a kid-friendly Trick or Treat Trail, Scaryolk and a costume contest in Bugs Bunny World.

Fright Fest hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays, and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30.
