Olympic Winter Games are flying in
Ski Jumping, Ice Dancing, Slalom, Downhill, Biathlon, Hockey and Curling, Curling, Curling, the 2010 Winter Olympic Games will offer 17 days of drama and thrills on the slippery stuff in Vancouver - and NBC's coverage will show you quite a bit of it. Sadly, Curling does not appear on the broadcast schedule. But maybe there will be an "international incident" on the Curling ice that will draw the news cameras there. One can only hope. ...

	Riding the rails in SoCal Years ago Amtrak used the advertising catch-phrase, "there's something about a train" to entice riders aboard. Trains were seen as quaint, nostalgic relics of the past - the freedom of the automobile and the speed of the airplane had nearly doomed passenger trains to extinction.
	Escape's Kid-fun in the SCV Certainly you are aware of the kid-fun available at Six Flags Magic Mountain. However, if your family is new to the SCV, you might be surprised how many other excellent entertainment opportunities await your children locally - both indoors and outdoors. 	It's all going downhill: Escapes for the ski season If you spent the past weekend lying out in the sun and working on your tan, it might be hard to believe that ski season is upon us.
	SCV Film Festival The fifth annual Santa Clarita Valley Film Festival will be held tonight, Saturday and Sunday at the Repertory East Playhouse in Old Town Newhall. This year the festival continues to focus on films appropriate for all ages, but will be showing feature-length films in addition to short films. The feature-length film competition is highly competitive, but accepted films will have the opportunity to be considered for distribution.
	A look ahead at entertainment in 2010 This year offers entertainment opportunities in and around the SCV that run the gamut from family fun to top-shelf concert acts and Broadway shows.
