Hart High’s track and field program has new co-head coaches.

Giovanni Guzman and Alfredo Coronado have taken over the program for Larry David, who will still remain with the program as an assistant coach.

Last season, David was only supposed to be head coach on an interim basis, but a replacement couldn’t be found. Guzman and Coronado both ran for the Indians, and Coronado will coach the boys team while Guzman will coach the girls.

David has coached with the Hart track and field program since 1990, and he’s had two separate stints as head coach from 1993-99 and 2009-11.

Last season, Hart sent two athletes to the CIF-Southern Section Division II finals, including high jumper Tim White and hurdler Trevor Lien.
