Two Newhall men were arrested for attempting to steal $345 in clothing from a Valencia department store according to sheriff’s reports.

The two 32-year-old men were arrested Friday on suspicion of burglary after they tried to leave the Kohl’s at 24200 Valencia Blvd. with several bags filled with clothing they didn’t pay for, said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Cambra said employees called sheriff’s deputies after the two walked into the store with empty Kohl’s shopping bags.

Employees also suspected that they had taken clothes from the store before, Cambra said.

Surveillance tapes showed the two men were working together, she said.
