Blood drive slated for Aug. 12

A blood drive is scheduled  for Aug. 12 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia to help the Red Cross restock the life-saving fluid.
Blood supplies typically wane during the summer months when people vacation and otherwise depart from their usual routines.

The drive, sponsored by local resident Alex Arnold, will benefit the American Red Cross. Space for the event was donated by the Hyatt Regency.

The drive is scheduled for 3-9 p.m. Aug. 12 at 24500 Town Center Drive in Valencia.
